Saying "I Do"!

22 November 2009 marks my parents Wedding Re-dedication day @ Bethany Chapel, Kepong Baru :) It was organised for couples who didnt have any Christian wedding before.

In total, we saw 9 couples taking their vows all over again. All of them were even happier than their actual wedding day years and years ago! I wonder if they have the "wedding jitters" before the ceremony started hehehe....

Seeing your parents getting "married" in front of you is awesome! Taking your vows again after 45 years of marriage is no joke!

Congratulations Daddy and Mummy! May the good Lord bestow upon both of you good health and happiness.

1 Corinthians 13:4-13

Love is patient, love is kind
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking
It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth
It always protect, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres
And now faith, hope and love abide, but the greatest of these is love

Happy Birthday Cavan!!

Took a day's leave today as I need to deliver cake and party packs to Cavan's kindy for him to celebrate his 4 years old birthday with his friends. The other plan was to bring Caden for his 2nd month injection in the afternoon but alas his paed is on half day thus the afternoon plan is scrapped off!

Handy Manny & his tools

9.30am and there I was with the cake and a bagful of party packs. His friends were so excited and kept calling and talking to me. Aunty here aunty there, aunty everywhere!! I even got some calling me mummy!! LOL! Some questions/statements that came from the little ones :
  • it's Cavan's birthday today..
  • Cavan, it's your birthday
  • there's cake, I want..
  • wah party packs/goodie bags - will I get one aunty?
  • aunty, I like pink
  • aunty, you give us goodie bags??
Hahaha....they are just so cute!! I even had one cute lil gal tugging at my shirt's hem asking while pointing to the party pack "this one is goodie bag right?" :)

the party packs

the tags for boys & girls

While the class teacher made them line up and wash their hands, I got down to business and unpack the cake. Just love their expression when they came back and saw the cake (I was hoping in my heart that they would not tumble the cake's figurine before the birthday boy blows his candle!!)

The whole class sang the birthday song not once but twice because the birthday boy was suddenly shy and didnt wana blow his candles. His friends helped him tho hahaha....

Cake cutting over, the eating begins. I'm impressed! the kids were so disciplined. After finishing their cake, they will carry their utensils and place it in the pail provided. Those who wanted a 2nd helping went to the teacher and request for more.

Time to snap pictures. Ask them to pose and boy! can they pose!!! hehehe... Hyperactive already now, running around the class and I spotted a boy with his arms around a gal just like lovers and they were sitting patiently for me to snap their pic! *cute** cute*

It all ended soon and I headed home but not before taking a last shot of Cavan with his Nursery Canary class teacher.

Howling at the New Moon

How does a vampire sound like? What about werewolf? Aawwuuuuuuuu...... is this how they howl? LOL! Anyway, this is about a vampire-werewolf-human story which has since stucked on me and it's none other than the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer.

Curiosity got the better of me when I got to know that a friend of mine got caught up reading this story into the wee hours on a weekday! which is very unlike her and even my nephew is reading it!! Thus my journey into the twilight saga began...

As I was on 1 week MC awaiting for the birth of my 2nd son, I started on it and never looked back since. I managed to finish all 3 books (Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse) in 4 days time, taking on average 1.5 days to complete a book!! This became my record hehehe... The last book Breaking Dawn was kept to accompany me after delivery as my friend message me telling me to only read it after my delivery which I found out why later.

I recently watch Twilight movie and now I cant wait for New Moon which will be opening next week!! After New Moon, I cant wait for Eclipse and especially Breaking Dawn as it would be interesting to see how they act the part [*movie spoiler?] where Bella is pregnant and giving birth (yea, this was the part my friend wanted me to avoid before I gave birth hehehe...).

No doubt I still find the book more interesting because of all the details (not to mention, imagination going wild LOL!). However, it's nice to see it being on film :) It's been a long time since I encountered an author which wrote a piece that could draw readers wanting more with the turn of each page!

Twilight Saga is the next best thing after Harry Potter for me!! From magical kingdom and now the mystical world of vampires and werewolfs... New Moon, here I come!

Of Welcome and Birthdays

We had a gathering yesterday which started quite late at around 9.30pm. The scheduled time was 8pm but knowingly, everyone would be late coz it's a working day except for me (still on maternity leave) thus am "smart" (ahem!!) to line my tummy with some food first before the rest arrive with our dinner.

So what's for dinner? We have potato salad, KFC original and pizza (the only pics taken on that nite!!). Desserts are fruits, egg tarts, corn popsicle and tiramisu cake.

Our agenda, a 5 in 1 :
(1) To welcome Caden's existence to the world
(2) Celebrate Giapy's birthday (Oct-09) ** to which the birthday boy was not updated about our date coz he didnt check his messages and thus missed this gathering as he has other plans which cant be cancelled!
(3) Chee Meng's home coming trip (some of us missed meeting up with him)
(4) Man U's lost to Liverpool recently 2-0 (yep, we have Liverpool's fan)
(5) Kah Lai's birthday (Nov-09)

We had a great time together as usual. The kiddos (Hector and Cavan) and a big kid played Bumble Bee, Optimus Prime and Megatron [guess who is the big kid ~ aka Justin :)] The rest just chatted away....

As the dinner started late, everyone was too full to really delve into dessert. The cake was uncut and I totally forgot about the popsicle!!

This is a virtual dedication to welcome Caden and to wish our members a Happy Birthday!!

Welcome my baby Caden to our family. Happy Birthday Giap, Kah Lai and since "Chin" is written on the cake, a Happy 4 years old Birthday Cavan!!

Guess what's this.

Yes! It's a home made blowing ring (is that what it's called??) and soap. Made by my dad for Cavan.

Telling him to blow gently so that lots of bubbles will be made.

Steady now. That's one big bubble boy!

A quick pose for me before continuing with his bubbles play.

Grandpa and grandson enjoying moments blowing bubbles together :)

Just priceless!!
